We are seeking an experienced paralegal to join our growing legal team. While experience in asset management and 1940 Act-registered investment companies is strongly preferred, we welcome candidates from other legal, financial services, corporate, regulatory, or highly regulated environments who have demonstrated the ability to learn quickly, exercise sound judgment, and apply transferable skills to new and complex subject matter. The strongest candidates will be collaborative, intellectually curious and agile, highly organized, and committed to producing precise, thoughtful work in a fast-paced environment.
In this role, you will support a broad range of legal and regulatory matters, including fund formation, registration, regulatory filings, governance, contract management, and corporate record maintenance. You will collaborate with attorneys, fellow paralegals, outside counsel, and cross-functional business partners to support business growth, help mitigate legal and regulatory risk, and serve a global client base. This is an exciting opportunity to drive impact at a firm that has sustained a strong rate of growth and continues to expand into new products, businesses, and geographies.
• Conduct legal and regulatory research related to investment funds, asset management matters, and other legal and regulatory topics
• Support the preparation, review, and filing of registration statements and other regulatory filings
• Assist with the preparation, drafting, and filing of SEC filings via EDGAR
• Coordinate regulatory filings and related communications with regulatory agencies and external parties
• Prepare and compile board and committee materials, including annual 15(c) materials
• Support the drafting, review, and maintenance of SMA agreements and other commercial contracts
• Draft, update, and maintain organizational and governance documents
• Maintain corporate and fund records, including minutes and related documentation
• Partner with internal stakeholders to support outside counsel and vendor billing workflows
• Respond to requests for information from internal stakeholders and business partners
• Maintain department resources, trackers, reference materials, and other tools that support efficient legal and regulatory workflows
• Support special projects and other legal and regulatory initiatives, as needed
• Approximately 3+ years of relevant legal, compliance, regulatory, corporate governance, contract management, or other transferable professional experience
• Relevant experience may come from law firms, financial services firms, corporate legal departments, compliance teams, regulatory organizations, consulting firms, or other highly regulated environments
• Experience in asset management, investment management, registered funds, or other regulated industries is helpful but not required
• Experience with SEC filings, EDGAR, regulatory filing platforms, or other document-intensive filing or submission processes is a plus
• Ability to quickly learn new subject matter and navigate complex regulatory frameworks
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
