The Role

We’re seeking a senior infrastructure engineer and strategic technologist with 10+ years of hands-on experience across Compute (Windows, VMware, Dell servers) and Storage/Backup (Dell PowerStore, Dell PowerScale, NetApp, Rubrik) platforms.

This role will design, build, and operate enterprise-grade compute, storage, and backup infrastructure that underpins critical business systems. You will drive reliability, performance, and scalability through automation and engineering excellence — ensuring the firm’s core platforms are resilient, secure, and ready for hybrid-cloud adoption.

Your mission is to stabilize and modernize compute and storage operations, reduce operational risk through automation and standardization, and align lifecycle management with SDLC principles to deliver predictable, high-quality infrastructure outcomes.

We’ll trust you to:

Compute (Windows / VMware / Dell Servers)

  • Architect, implement, and administer VMware vSphere / ESXi and Windows Server infrastructure across multiple data centers.
  • Manage Dell PowerEdge servers — provisioning, firmware lifecycle, and hardware performance management.
  • Oversee Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, clustering, and GPOs, ensuring secure and reliable operations.
  • Lead capacity planning, patching, and performance tuning for compute workloads.
  • Integrate and automate provisioning through PowerShell, Ansible, or Terraform.
  • Support hybrid-cloud integration (Azure / AWS) and cloud-ready configurations.
  • Align compute operations and change management with the SDLC process to ensure consistency and traceability.

Storage & Backup (Dell PowerStore, PowerScale, NetApp, Rubrik)

  • Architect, deploy, and administer Dell PowerStore, PowerScale (Isilon), and NetApp ONTAP storage platforms.
  • Manage Rubrik backup infrastructure — backup policies, replication, retention, and recovery validation.
  • Oversee SAN switches (Dell and Cisco) for storage connectivity, zoning, and fabric stability.
  • Design and implement replication, tiering, and snapshot strategies to meet RPO/RTO objectives.
  • Automate provisioning, reporting, and compliance tasks using Python, PowerShell, or Ansible.
  • Integrate and manage CSI drivers to extend storage capabilities into Kubernetes environments.
  • Ensure data governance, access control, and security compliance across all storage and backup layers.

Cross-Domain Responsibilities

  • Lead incident response and root-cause analysis across compute, storage, and backup systems.
  • Drive modernization initiatives such as hardware refresh, consolidation, and migration to cloud-integrated architectures.
  • Collaborate with Cloud and Security Engineering to embed identity, monitoring, and data protection controls.
  • Understanding of container platforms and integration of CSI drivers for persistent storage.
  • Mentor junior engineers, define best practices, and ensure consistent operational standards.

You'll need to have:

  • 10+ years of infrastructure engineering experience in enterprise environments.
  • Deep expertise in:
    • VMware vSphere / vCenter / ESXi administration
    • Windows Server 2012–2022 and Active Directory services
    • Dell PowerStore, PowerScale (Isilon), NetApp ONTAP, and Rubrik
    • Dell PowerEdge servers and SAN switches (Dell and Cisco)
  • Strong scripting and automation experience (PowerShell, Python, Ansible).
  • Experience with capacity planning, performance tuning, and DR orchestration.
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, routing) as applied to compute and storage.
  • Familiarity with hybrid-cloud architectures and infrastructure-as-code principles.
  • Proven ability to operate within structured SDLC and change management processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
