The Role

The Client Account Manager (“CAM”) is a cross-functional role responsible for the day-to-day management of client accounts, ensuring a seamless and responsive experience for our Institutional client base. This role demands a high level of operational expertise, particularly in supporting alternative investment products, and a deep understanding of the end-to-end client lifecycle. The CAM will serve as a key liaison between clients, internal stakeholders, and third-party service providers, delivering consistent, high-quality service and operational excellence across traditional and alternative investment vehicles.

We’ll trust you to:

  • Operational Lead for Institutional Clients: Provide pre-sale support, manage end-to-end onboarding, and deliver post-sale service across a range of investment products, with a focus on alternatives.
  • Client Service Leadership: Serve as the primary service contact, ensuring coordinated, white-glove service delivery tailored to the unique needs of each client.
  • Alternative Investments Operations:
    • Manage operational workflows for private funds and other alternative vehicles.
    • Oversee capital activity processes including capital calls, distributions, subscription/redemption cycles, and liquidity management.
    • Coordinate with fund administrators, custodians, and internal teams to ensure accurate and timely execution of alternative investment transactions.
    • Support valuation, performance reporting, and audit processes for alternative products.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Partner with Sales, Relationship Management, Consultant Relations, Legal, Compliance, Operations, Fund Administration, Technology, and Investment teams to meet client expectations and resolve complex operational issues.
  • Project Management: Lead client lifecycle events such as onboarding, transitions, account changes, and offboarding, ensuring alignment across all stakeholders.
  • Third-Party Oversight: Manage relationships with external service providers (e.g., fund administrators, custodians, transfer agents) to ensure service standards and operational integrity.
  • Client Diligence & Requests:
    • Coordinate responses to RFIs/RFPs, operational due diligence (ODD) requests, and ad-hoc client inquiries.
    • Prepare and review client-specific documentation and reporting packages.
  • Cash Flow Coordination: Facilitate cash flow notices and funding instructions across investment vehicles.
  • Regulatory & Regional Expertise: Tailor servicing approach based on regional regulatory requirements and client-specific mandates.
  • Technology Partnership: Collaborate with Technology teams to enhance onboarding and servicing workflows through the Client Lifecycle Management tool and other platforms.
  • Reporting Collaboration: Work with Client Reporting teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of customized reports, including alternatives-specific metrics.

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
  • 5–7 years of experience in client service and/or operations, with a strong background in alternative investments
  • Deep understanding of operational processes related to private markets and other non-traditional investment vehicles
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to support internal and external engagement
  • High attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with CRM and fund administration platforms a plus
  • Client-centric mindset with a strong service orientation and sound judgment
  • Intellectual curiosity and adaptability to evolving client and product needs

Compensation Information: Annual base salary for this role is $110,000-$120,000. Salary is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different.

 

Discretionary Bonus: Role may be eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus. Discretionary bonuses are determined by several factors including, but not limited to, firm, team, and individual performance.
