We are seeking to add a highly motivated Paralegal who will be responsible for providing legal support to Lord Abbett’s institutional, investments, and international areas. This individual will work closely with the attorneys who support the institutional, investments, and international teams on various matters. The position requires excellent interpersonal skills, teamwork, and collaboration. The candidate must be a demonstrated self-starter who is highly organized.
• Coordinate senior-level internal/external meetings and conference calls.
• Assist paralegals and attorneys with updating and tracking various types of agreements, including confidentiality agreements, investor representation letters, trading agreements and other corporate agreements.
• Assist paralegals and attorneys in preparing documentation for sub-custody account openings and renewals.
• Assist in drafting and proofreading various regulatory filings, such as Regulation D filings for private funds and relevant Blue Sky filings.
• Assist paralegals and attorneys with various regulatory filings, including those submitted via EDGAR, IARD and others as needed.
• Manage files, including organization, scanning, file maintenance, and recordkeeping.
• Assist with filing, proofreading, drafting, and coordinating signatures as needed.
• Update and maintain task-driven calendars, matrixes, questionnaires, and charts for the Legal-Institutional and Legal-Investments teams.
• Assist with Know Your Customer, Anti-Money Laundering, due diligence, and other legal/regulatory information requests.
• Respond quickly and positively to shifting demands and opportunities, with the ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple detailed tasks.
• Work with various departments to maintain the work-flow processing of outside counsel/vendor bills
• Other duties as assigned.
• Some corporate governance and financial services experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.

• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Notary public preferred
• Bachelor’s Degree required

Compensation Information: Annual base salary for this role is $80,000 - $90,000. Salary is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different.
Discretionary Bonus: Role may be eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus. Discretionary bonuses are determined by several factors including, but not limited to, firm, team, and individual performance.
