The Role

The Senior Compliance Associate, Policies and Procedures, will play a critical role in working closely with business counterparts to develop and maintain compliance policies and procedures for Lord Abbett. The successful candidate will bring a clear, concise writing style, along with excellent research, interpersonal and communication skills.  Candidates may be asked to provide a writing sample.

We’ll trust you to:

  • Develop, review, and enhance policies and procedures in accordance with the Investment Company Act,  the Investment Advisers Act and other applicable regulations, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Coordinate and communicate with key stakeholders across the firm in connection with the development and/or maintenance of compliance policies. 
  • Track, monitor and analyze regulatory changes and updates related to the Investment Company Act and the Investment Advisers Act. 
  • Coordinate and prepare the Global Chief Compliance Officer’s reports for Boards, management and regulatory authorities, as required. 
  • Develop and coordinate the distribution of compliance communications.
  • Work on ad hoc projects and other initiatives as needed.

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree. 
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a compliance role in the asset management industry, with a focus on the Investment Company Act and the Investment Advisers Act.
  • Proven experience developing compliance policies and procedures.
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to draft clear and concise policies, procedures, and reports. 
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across different levels of the organization.

Compensation Information: Annual base salary for this role is $185,000 - $210,000. Salary is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different.

Discretionary Bonus: Role may be eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus. Discretionary bonuses are determined by several factors including, but not limited to, firm, team, and individual performance.
