The Role

Lord Abbett is looking for a Performance Analyst to join the Product Data and Information team in the Client Services department. This team provides investment performance insights to portfolio management, executive leadership, and external stakeholders. Their goals include sourcing data, resolving errors quickly, improving transparency, automating reports, and enhancing firm-wide use of performance reports. We need an experienced financial professional with a background in investment performance who is motivated and independent. This person will research data anomalies, identify improvement opportunities, resolve issues promptly, provide context for performance inquiries, and develop plans to improve reporting processes.

We’ll trust you to:

  • Calculate and deliver investment performance related reporting to all internal and external stake holders such as portfolio managers. existing clients, perspective clients, sales and marketing teams, and help to answer RFP and DDQ requests
  • Deliver competitor analysis and rankings on our products to senior leadership
  • Prepare and analyze comprehensive reporting including risk statistic
  • Manage and respond to any adhoc requests that come into the performance inbox
  • Assist with reviewing weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports and follow up with any questions from clients regarding activity from prior periods
  • Perform research on portfolios and market data to assist in the development of marketing content
  • Identify opportunities to automate ongoing/recurring client deliverables
  • Gather and research data requests for our annual GIPS verification
  • Participant in the operational set up of accounts and benchmarks across all internal and external systems.
  • Prepare and review all performance sections on legal filings (TSR, Prospectus, Annual reports)
  • Coordinate with third party vendors to improve processes, gather data, leverage existing tools to enhance reporting

You'll need to have:

  • A minimum of 1-5 years of relevant experience is required
  • Knowledge of Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS®) or Certificate in Investment Performance Measurement (CIPM®) Program a plus
  • Strong background data analysis, investment performance, risk reporting, and portfolio analytics is strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated experience building/improving data management processes and analytical systems
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including proficiency in Excel and Power Bi/VBA
  • Familiarity with reporting tools such Morningstar, eVestment, Zephyr, Confluence, StatPro, Lipper, PSN
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with strong interpersonal interaction capabilities.
  • A passion for data-driven decision-making and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Sharp control/risk mitigation mentality
  • Knowledge of Alternative products, performance metrics such as MOIC/IRR a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree is required
  • Pursuit towards or completion of a financial industry designation (CIPM, CFA, FRM, CAIA) preferred

Compensation Information: Annual base salary for this role is $110,000 - $125,000. Salary is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different.

Discretionary Bonus: Role may be eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus. Discretionary bonuses are determined by several factors including, but not limited to, firm, team, and individual performance.
