Does Lord Abbett transfer your personal data outside the European Economic Area or United Kingdom?
We will transfer your personal data to the United States when it is reasonably necessary for us to do so as part of your application process or employment contracting. For example, our Human Capital Management department is primarily based in the United States, and they ensure that the review and decision making with regards to our applicants are made by the appropriate personnel, who can appropriately assess your qualifications and credentials. It is also necessary to transfer your personal data for purposes of employee contracting and onboarding, as our payroll and benefits administrators are located in the United States.
As the United States does not currently offer the same level of protections for personal data, we have put in place standard contractual clauses or other appropriate transfer mechanisms to ensure that your personal data is treated in a manner that is consistent with your rights under EU and UK law. If you would like further information about how we manage our personal data transfers, you may email us at dataprivacy@lordabbett.com.
How does Lord Abbett protect your personal data?
We take the security of your personal data seriously. Lord Abbett has industry-standard internal policies and controls in place to ensure that your data is not lost, accidentally destroyed, misused, or subject to unauthorized disclosure or access. Nevertheless, transmission of data via the Internet is never completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of your personal data.
How long does Lord Abbett keep your personal data?
If your application for employment is unsuccessful, Lord Abbett will generally retain your personal data on file for one year after the end of the relevant recruitment process, unless we have a legal obligation to retain your personal data longer, and we will commit our best efforts to deleting your data after such time.
