Job Overview:

 

The SMA business within Lord Abbett is growing and we are seeking a unique individual to support our SMA Family Office Services for ultra-high net worth clients. The Family Office Specialist is responsible for proactively engaging advisors and their clients to ensure the highest level of service delivered. Individuals in this role are required to possess in-depth knowledge of Lord Abbett’s SMA products, operational processes, marketing collateral, and market conditions to ensure clients receive an experience that exceeds expectations.

We’ll trust you to:

  • Be a dedicated and trusted single point of contact for all SMA related activities.
  • Partner with Portfolio Managers to deliver our value proposition and provide strategy insights.
  • Execute operational processes, including, account openings, transfers, and reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date client documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies
  • Work closely with internal teams, including portfolio managers and compliance to streamline SMA processes and enhance overall service delivery 
  • Proactively identify and address any issues or discrepancies related to SMA accounts, collaborating with team members to implement timely resolutions 

You'll need to have:

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in wealth management, investment operations, or a similar role with a focus on SMA services
  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Business or a related field
  • In depth knowledge of SMA products and financial markets
  • Proactive, collaborative team player
  • Ability to organize, plan and manage several concurrent initiatives with varying priorities
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • High sense of urgency and degree of initiative and self-motivation
  • Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and follow-up skills
  • Ability to think analytically and problem solve
  • The aptitude to learn and adapt quickly in a rapidly changing environment
  • Real ambition to pursue a client-facing career
  • Series 7, 66, and SIE licenses

Compensation Information: Annual base salary for this role is $100,000 - $120,000. Salary is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different.

Discretionary Bonus: Role may be eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus. Discretionary bonuses are determined by several factors including, but not limited to, firm, team, and individual performance.
