  • What's the role?

    This role is responsible for all requirements that drive and define business-specific, strategic data needs with our Business Intelligence and Advanced Analytics team.  Responsibilities include overseeing the continued development of our distribution Client Data Strategy.  This includes building and maintaining Data Analytics functions, developing and implementing Sales & Marketing programs through various digital mediums, project management of client data technology initiatives and development and support of client contact strategies.  Development and completeness of business analytics reporting for various Marketing/Sales programs and business functions.  Develop analysis on client behaviors to create a client segmentation strategy that support the generation of sales leads and campaign lists. 


    The role encompasses fundamental data analysis as well as complex statistical modeling.  The candidate should be passionate about data maintenance, data quality control, and data analysis techniques.  They must have strong experience using a variety of data mining/data analysis methods, using a variety of data tools, building and implementing models, using/creating algorithms and creating/running simulations. They must have a proven ability to drive business results with their data-based insights. They must be comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders and functional teams. The right candidate will have a passion for discovering solutions hidden in large data sets and working with stakeholders to improve business outcomes.   


    • Hire, train, and supervise business intelligence & analytics teams and ensure that these teams meet the data, reporting and analytical needs of the business users
    • Facilitating communication between the Sales and Marketing, and continually supporting the growth of advisors
    • Work with business owners to identify information needs and develop analytical solutions for the Markets we serve (US Retail, US Institutional, International)
    • Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions.
    • Mine and analyze data from firm databases to drive optimization and improvement of product development, marketing techniques and business strategies.
    • Plan and implement the overall analytics and business intelligence strategy
      • Perform analysis of various client data feeds to determine opportunities to grow our business
      • Lead the design and development of analytical projects designed to understand key business behaviors that drive customer acquisition, retention, and engagement
      • Identify opportunities to develop forecasts, statistical models, segmentation schemes, and data-driven analyses to drive marketing and sales efforts around client acquisition and conversion
      • Discover new opportunities to optimize the business through analytics and statistical modeling
    • Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets.
    • Use predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, ad targeting and other business outcomes.
    • Develop company A/B testing framework and test model quality.
    • Develop metrics dashboards via data visualizations tools
    • Create demand for analytics through problem scoping and solution creation
    • Coordinate with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes.


    • 5+ years of relevant experience in the asset management industry
    • Experience with advanced analytical concepts
    • Bachelor or Master's degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, economics, etc.).
    • Thorough understanding of basic statistical methods and ability to explain to a broader audience.
    • Experience in programming languages required (Python, R, SAS and/or SQL).
    • Experience in multivariate analysis, decision tree, and non-parametric methods.
    • Experience creating and using advanced machine learning algorithms and statistics: regression, simulation, scenario analysis, modeling, clustering, decision trees, and neural networks.
