    Team Overview:

    The newly formed Product Data Infrastructure & Analytics (PDIA) unit is a cross-functional team of SME professionals and technologists that supports front-, middle-, and back-office processes.  The team operates through a centralized hub of data-driven capabilities, established to support the firm’s AUM growth by showcasing its portfolio strategies and asset management expertise.  The team actively collaborates with Portfolio Management, Investment Strategists, Risk Management, and Client Services personnel across the U.S. Retail, Institutional, and International channels in critical activities such as New Product Launches and RFPs.


    The core mission for the department is publishing best-quality risk and return attributes for the firm’s Mutual Funds, SMA and Institutional portfolios.  This is achieved by ensuring that reliable data sourcing and computational methodologies are in place. The team certifies that product data and marketing exhibits maintain consistency with relevant benchmarks or client requested methodologies.  Additionally, PDIA performs return attribution analysis and market data research to assist Portfolio Management and Investment Strategists in identifying trends and anomalies within portfolios or greater market environments.


    Job Overview:

     The Associate Director is an experienced investment professional who provides critical portfolio data integration support and analysis to the various arms of the organization.  This professional will be intimately familiar and/or specialize in areas of data capture, risk analytics, portfolio construction, investment management techniques, performance attribution, market data research, and have an understanding of data required for fundamental analysis across asset classes.  The professional will be required to perform work within these areas on a day-to-day basis and serve as a leader figure within the team.  The professional will have a bend towards fixed income with a solid understanding of equity portfolio management practices.  Also, the role requires an understanding of the asset management industry and the various types of investment vehicles and the analytics required to create and maintain for marketing, sales and relationship management. The role is expected to lead some parts of the analytical process including data mining, data modeling, and, ultimately, solving critical business problems by utilizing all applicable quantitative knowledge and statistical techniques.  Finally, the role commands an individual who can demonstrate strong leadership  and collaboration skills, as he or she will serve as a point person in completing large scale data and analytics system implementations, process improvements, and as a mentor to junior members of the team.

    What you’ll do:

    • Develop, implement and maintain fixed income performance attribution reporting
    • Produce accurate and timely production of daily, weekly, and monthly reports for clients, marketing, and portfolio management
    • Provide support to programming efforts on fixed income analytical projects.
    • Perform ad hoc quantitative analysis, data aggregation, or portfolio composition illustrations to assist product management, investment strategists, and sales efforts for sophisticated investors
    • Participate in the assessment of analytic tools to determine development requirements of existing systems or potential externally developed solutions
    • Collaborate with Investments, Risk Management, Investment Strategy, and Product Strategy on the methodologies required to best represent portfolio attributes and risk characteristics 

    You’ll need to have:

    • Strong background in fixed income and asset management is required.
    • Experience in trading, risk management, portfolio management, or quantitative analysis is required
    • 5-10 years of total industry experience preferred.
    • Bachelor’s degree required;
    • Pursuit towards or completion of a Master’s Degree (MBA, MFE, MS, MA) preferred.
    • Pursuit towards or completion of an Industry Designation (CFA, FRM, CIPM, CAIA, PRM) preferred.
