    Job Overview:

    Serving as the face of Lord Abbett & Co LLC at our global headquarters in Jersey City, the Receptionist establishes a smart, friendly, and hospitable tone for all visitors. This person will also be providing full administrative support for reception, facilities and guest services. 


    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Support to the Corporate Facilities Services Department as needed.

    • Welcomes and announces clients, applicants, and visitors to Lord, Abbett & Co. LLC.

    • Operates call directory equipment to transfer incoming calls to correct person.

    • Responsible for opening, maintaining and closing down the reception area, including operating the digital kiosk.

    • Assists with scheduling and preparing meeting and conference rooms.

    • Arranges for and reserves projectors and other meeting equipment, ensuring equipment is in good operating condition.

    • Arranges video and/or web conferencing as needed.

    • Monitor the comings and goings of Vendors, Contractors and Logistical Personnel

    • Involved in administrative projects as needed.

    • Maintains records and logs of service requests and tracks their status.

    • Provide back up to the Managing Partner’s administrative assistant.

    • Light word processing duties.


    • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (verbal, written, listening)
    • Works well under pressure and able to adapt to a dynamic environment
    • Proven ability to organize, manage, and plan several concurrent initiatives with varying priorities
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Strong telephone answering skills

    • Solid word processing skills


    Personal Characteristics Required:

    • Proven ability to interact with all levels of management

    • Resourceful and able to use excellent judgment when addressing challenges/solving problems
