Responsibilities for the Senior Associate include, but are not limited to:
Enforce and interpret fund prospectus compliance with various policies including CDSC waivers, sales charges, frequent trading and share class eligibility
Daily interaction with transfer agents (DST-domestic & BBH-offshore) in order to research/resolve issues
Oversight of various Compliance functions related to FINCEN, AML and foreign accounts
Perform high level quality control review on daily Mutual Fund transactions
Perform analytics of various U.S. 40 Act and offshore Fund payments
Ability to interact with various internal business partners and levels of Management to assist with new relationships, operational issues, system updates and enhancements
Develop and maintain strong relationships with intermediaries & transfer agents
Provide operational support for External/Internal Sales Force
Produce beneficial ownership reports for required reporting and Fund literature
Ability to identify potential issues and effectively communicate to various groups
Research/identify trade exceptions for Sales Reporting purposes
Maintain/update DTCC Mutual Fund Profile system
Strong knowledge of U.S. 40 Act Funds and Offshore (UCITS) Funds
Strong knowledge of DTCC’s FundServ, Networking and ACATS required
Knowledge of omnibus processing and invoicing
3-5 years’ work experience in Mutual Fund Operations or Mutual Fund Transfer Agency
UCITS experience preferred, but not required
Series 7 or 99 preferred
Personal Characteristics Required:
Superior communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel including v-lookups and pivot tables
Able to work independently, as well as part of team
Strong attention to detail, communication and organizational skills
Ability to work well under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines
Strong analytical and quantitative skills
