    Job Overview:

    The Associate Director, Consultant Relations will be responsible for guiding and directing relationships for regional and boutique consulting firms across each firm’s three key business units: executive management, research and field consultants. This individual will work in concert with the Head of Institutional Consultant Relations.



    • Engaging with all three business units of regional and boutique consulting firms: executive management, research and field consultants in order to retain current endorsements/assets and win additional endorsements/assets
    • Collaborating with the Institutional Directors to ensure effective communication between the two teams around Lord, Abbett’s products and institutional strategy
    • Planning and prioritizing investment professional roadshows based on consultant demand and product relevance/readiness
    • Providing input and feedback from the consulting firms to Lord, Abbett’s Product Strategy team in order to help ensure relevant product development and accurate messaging
    • Participating in reviews in order to help client facing investment professionals improve their presentations
    • Coordinating with Central Information Services (CIS) to effectively leverage client data in order to gain an informational advantage re: metrics like activity, flows, and AUM


    • 10+ years of relevant experience in the asset management industry
    • Proactive, collaborative team player
    • Organizes, plans, and manages several concurrent initiatives with varying priorities
    • Exceptional attention to detail
    • High sense of urgency and degree of initiative and self-motivation
    • Strong interpersonal, communication, and follow-up skills
    • Resourceful with excellent problem-solving
