Institutional Consultant Relations: Consultant Relations Analyst

Reporting to the Partner, Director of Consultant Relations, the Analyst is responsible for supporting the efforts of, and partnering with, the Consultant Relations Directors in proactively engaging the largest Consultants in an effort to cultivate new relationships, enrich existing relationships, and manage the institutional needs of these largest investment consultants. This individual must possess an outstanding work ethic, an insightful consultative approach, a proven ability to collaborate with colleagues across multiple departments, and a high level of technical proficiency.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinating meetings and conference calls, including executing the following:
  • Preparatory documentation (previous interactions, current clients, etc.)
  • Gathering/customizing presentation materials
  • Collaborating with Investments and Strategists to execute meetings effectively
  • Attending meetings and conference calls and taking notes
  • Responding to quarterly due diligence requests
  • Providing clients and prospects with quarterly updates, portfolio guidelines, and timely ad-hoc pieces
  • Maintaining CRM system for accuracy
  • Analyze metrics behind consultant relations activity
  • Coordinating ad-hoc requests with other departments including the following:
  • Onboarding clients and consultants with Client Service
  • Documentation reviews with Legal
  • Data requests with CIS and Operations
  • Road shows with Portfolio Managers and Institutional Directors
  • Competitive analysis
  • Maintaining consultant databases by providing accurate and timely information
  • Maintaining our relationship with OMNI, a third-party data distribution platform
  • Working with CIS, Operations, and Technology to continue enhancing the delivery of quantitative information
  • Collaborating with Product Strategy to ensure qualitative information is accurate and reflects the way that our strategies are presented in practice
  • Proactively communicating consultant asset class views to the broader institutional team through reviewing meeting notes/consultant websites/PublicPlanIQ

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • 1-3+ years of relevant work experience
  • Series 7 and Series 66 licenses preferred
  • Proactive, collaborative team player
  • Ability to organize, plan, and manage several concurrent initiatives with varying priorities
  • Exceptional attention to detail, ability to recognize and prioritize information
  • High sense of urgency and degree of initiative and self-motivation
  • Outstanding interpersonal, communication, public-speaking, and follow-up skills
  • Resourceful with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong desire to learn and grow industry knowledge
