Overview:

The Defined Contribution, Relationship Manager will be responsible for developing relationships across record-keepers, mid-market consultants and select broker-dealers to drive sales and organic growth across our defined contribution business. This role will report directly to National Director, Defined Contribution and will work closely on building strategic partnerships, adding product placements and deepening relationships with our top distribution platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Develop business strategies to grow with select retirement platforms
  • Win endorsements and product placements on record-keeping platforms

  • Work closely with relationship managers on select broker-dealer relationships
  • Work with leadership, sales and relationship management to harness the resources of our firm
  • Communicate internally to elevate the retirement conversation
  • Execute on tactics with record-keepers and mid-market consultants
  • Leverage data and client intelligence
  • Participate in industry events and conferences

Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of the defined contribution industry and trends
  • A strong comprehension and articulation of the capital markets
  • Self-motivated, positive attitude, goal–oriented and driven to excel with a sense of urgency
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and sales presentation skills
  • Willingness to travel on a weekly basis
  • Enhanced problem solving abilities, analytical abilities, and familiarity with investment strategies
  • Ability to meet deadlines, strong organizational skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • 5+ Years of Industry experience
  • 5+ Years of defined contribution experience
