Job Overview:

 

The Business Analyst position provides critical detail review and validation of financial facts and figures being presented on various client facing media, including mutual fund fact sheets, Lord Abbett websites and ad hoc documents and presentations. The Business Analyst will work closely with various departments to ensure data accuracy. 

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Identify and challenge data that appears to be inaccurate or inconsistent
  • Interact with various departments, including operations (middle and back office), technology, legal, compliance and marketing.
  • Respond to ad-hoc requests from various business areas, particularly marketing and product management, in a timely manner
  • Support security master maintenance in the accounting systems and data warehouse

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting preferred (MIS or business administration degree with minor in finance or accounting)
  • Solid understanding of the financial markets as well as the asset management industry
  • Good understanding of financial statistics and measures such as yields, mutual fund performance versus benchmark indices, credit ratings, industry sector breakdowns, etc.
  • Functional in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Familiar with MS Access, Visio and/or MS Project is a plus
  • Must be able to work on rotating shift schedule. Early shift starts 7:30AM, late shift starts 9:30AM
