Lord Abbett is seeking an Associate Portfolio Manager to support the firm's European corporate bond effort. The Associate PM will be primarily investing across European denominated investment grade and high yield corporates.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Managing corporate bond assets for multiple portfolios
  • Acting independently within established investment policy guidelines
  • Working closely with other members of the corporate bond team
  • Working extensively with teams responsible for other fixed income sectors
  • Making top-down recommendations about portfolio positioning across industries and credit grades (primarily focused on investment grade), as well as working with research analysts on single-name selection

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience working with European corporate bonds
  • Proficiency in investment analytics and research techniques
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of fixed income benchmarks and methodology
  • Significant investment grade experience required (and high yield experience preferred, but not required)
