Job Overview: 


The Compensation and Data Associate is responsible for assisting in the compensation and workforce analytics function for all of Lord Abbett’s employee and partner population. This role assists in planning, developing and implementing new and revised compensation programs, policies and procedures to be responsive to the company's goals and competitive practices. This position is also responsible for ensuring through audits, legal reports and personal interactions that the company compensation programs are consistently administered in compliance with company policies and government regulations. Additionally, the Compensation and Data Associate will help design, build and execute a dynamic workforce analytics platform. This includes reporting and a new HRIS system implementation.



Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide advice to key stakeholders on pay decisions, policy and guideline interpretation, and job evaluation, including the design of creative solutions to specific compensation-related programs
  • Manage the administration of direct compensation by partnering with Finance colleagues (executive, exempt and nonexempt compensation programs)
  • Keep apprised of federal, state and local compensation laws and regulations to ensure company compliance
  • Assist in managing the Year-End compensation manager decisions process which includes:
    • Matching and analyzing industry benchmarking data
    • Designing compensation reports to assist in understanding compensation expense and distribution of decisions
    • Developing repeatable audits to ensure accuracy of compensation decisionsDevelop key reporting on workforce footprint with a goal to provide data to support and drive business needs, including headcount, recruiting, diversity and talent

  • Partner with Technology colleagues to help lead departmental transformation of HRIS source system change


  • 9 years of Human Resources Compensation related experience
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and Access Database skills
  • Thorough attention to detail
  • Excellent presentation, communication skills both written and oral
